Math Overview

MATH:

Students investigate, explore and interpret data collection. In Number and Place Value, students will learn to identify factors/multiples, round numbers and explain strategies for multiplication/division. Students will also compare and order fractions/decimals and add/subtract fractions with the same denominator.

History Overview

Exploring the development of British Colonies in Australia

 In History this Semester, students will investigate early Australian settlements. They will research the hardships faced by the members of the new colonies. The students will gain an understanding of the impact inflicted on the environment in the creation of these colonies over a period of time.

Science Overview

SCIENCE: Students will examine the structural and behavioural adaptations that assist animals/plants to survive in their environment. They use this information to design a creature which can survive in a given environment. Students will provide a written justification relating adaptations to the environment.
